PCS kindergarten goes to the zoo!

Friday, the entire Kindergarten at PCS headed over to the Hattiesburg Zoo for a field trip, all 85 of them, ha!
Tilly and I caught a ride with our friends, Miss Alisa and Sidney.  The girls were super excited to ride together!
For the first part of the field trip, we headed over to the playground at Kamper Park.
The children had so much fun playing.  We grabbed them up for a quick class picture before we had our snack time.
And another picture on the butterfly bench with Mrs. Malone.  After our group picture, we headed over for snack time.  After snack time, we headed to the zoo classroom for some fun learning time with the zookeepers and animals.  The children learned about and were able to pet a chinchilla, a bearded dragon, and talk to the parrot.  It was so much fun!  And just as we were getting ready to walk inside the zoo, the bottom fell out of the sky, and we had to load up and head back to school! Maybe we will get to finish our trip another time!

Hardy Street Baptist Church Trunk or Treat!

On the night of Halloween, our church held its first ever Trunk or Treat.  It was so much fun!  We had at least 320 families come through the halls of our church.  There was plenty of fun and plenty of candy.
Our four were super excited.  Super excited about getting to wear their costumes again.  Super excited about getting to see their friends.  Super excited about lots of candy!
I wish I knew what Tilly was saying to Story.  So sweet!
My three pretty girls.
And my handsome and ferocious boy!
We ran into Miss Meredith on our way in and had to snap a quick picture with her!
With the whole group.
Mr. Landon and Miss Katie, we love them lots!  Miss Katie worked so hard this week getting ready for Trunk or Treat.  It turned out so well!
Summer getting all painted up by Miss Clarissa.
Spider-Man!
All finished getting painted.
Story and Mallory with their matching butterflies.
Two of Tilly's school friends joined us for Trunk or Treat, and she could not have been more excited!
Tilly with another one of her sweet classmates.  About a week before Trunk or Treat, I emailed all of the families in each of the children's classes.  You never want to assume that just because our children attend a Christian school that all of the children are churched.  I knew it couldn't hurt to ask, and I knew that my children would be thrilled to see a familiar face from school.
Daddy with the big 3!
A rare family picture.  Love.
A fun end to a wonderful night!

Story is 3 1/2!

The past 6 months have been so busy and full for your little life.  You began preschool for the first time, you had your first dentist appointment, your first eye appointment, your first birthday party for a new school friend, your first ministry project at church, you began ballet lessons for the second year, and you just continue to steal our hearts daily with your cute little self.  You say some of the funniest things:  Fick-Chil-A, cramel (for caramel), I ut all my food, and titu paper are just a few things that you say in your own cute way.
Oh, how I love your sweet baby blues and your dimple.  I'm pretty sure you know it, too!  We took you for an eye check up this month, so we were able to get your stats for age 3 1/2.  Here's where you fall:  height 3' 5" (95%), weight 35 lbs (70%), BMI 15.00 kg/m2 (30%).  Perfect in every way, we think!

For your third birthday, I forgot to post your interview answers, so in honor of your 3 1/2 years of life, I thought I would ask you again.  I was telling your Daddy earlier that you were very quick with your responses and very sure of what you like.  You definitely don't get that from your momma, ha!

Hattiesburg 2nd annual Halloween parade.

Last week was full of fun Halloween activities for our little family.  Every year, Papa and Gigi send Halloween costumes to our four littles, and they look forward to said costumes each year.  We never let them wear them until the week of Halloween, so the anticipation always builds!
Please allow me to introduce you:  First, our oldest and only son, Spiderman aka Carter.  Spiderman has been Carter's favorite superhero for a while now, so he was so excited to wear this costume for Halloween.
Second, our oldest daughter, Pocohontas aka Summer.  Disney Princesses are a big hit at our house, and we just love Pocohontas.
Our second daughter, Mulan (or Cafe as she is affectionately known at our house) aka Tilly.  Mulan has been Tilly's favorite Disney princess for as long as I can remember.  I am not even sure where the fascination began.  My mom gave her the Mulan doll one Christmas a few years ago, and she's just loved her ever since.
And lastly, our baby girl, Princess Sofia aka Story!  Oh, how we love Princess Sofia at our house.  Her show on Disney Junior is the sweetest, just like her little self.  And the girl can sing! It just so happened that we already had an amulet on hand that went perfectly with her little costume.
Sweet sisters.  So, for our first Halloween outing, we attended the 2nd annual Hattiesburg Halloween parade right in our very neighborhood.
And here they are, all of them in all of their cuteness.  They wanted to go out to eat in public, so that people could "see them in their costumes!" How cute is that!
We took them to Canes, and it was the perfect choice.  The workers made the night of our little ones.  They all came out to admire our little people, even the cookers in the back!  It was so cute!
After prancing around in all their finery for the sweet people at Canes, we sat down to enjoy some yummy supper!
Canes was one of our favorites while we lived in New Orleans, and we are thrilled that Hattiesburg had one as well!
We finished up supper, and then we headed back to our neighborhood for the big parade.
It got dark before the parade began, so I did not really take any pictures of the actual parade, but I did capture this sweet one amid the glare of the Hattiesburg Zoo sign.  The sweet college girls played "Little Sally Walker" with my girls for the longest time while we waited on the parade to make its way to our spot.  Such a fun night!
