Summer Road Trip - Day 2

Friday morning, we packed up again and headed out for the next leg of our trip.
Before we left Louisville, we wanted to see the Louisville Slugger Museum.
Carter with the largest baseball bat in the world!
The fab four inside the museum.
Louisville is such a neat city, kind of a little big city like Nashville.  I think it would be a great place to visit for several days!
We left Louisville and headed north to Cincinnati.
We checked out the stadium where the Cincinnati Reds play and then ate a quick lunch at a little place across from the stadium before hitting the road again.  Then, we headed even further north towards Michigan.
We got there late afternoon in time to head over to Ann Arbor.
David was so excited to see the BIG House where Michigan plays football.
It didn't disappoint!
Selfie with my favorite in front of the Big House! That night we headed over to a suburb of Detroit to spend the night with David's Aunt and Uncle.
David's dad has a twin sister, Phyllis, and she is seen here with her husband, Ken.  They graciously opened their home to us for the night on our way to Canada.
The children were on their very best behavior (whew!), and they had the best time running and playing in their yard after two long days on the road.  Plus, we enjoyed a delicious meal provided by Uncle Ken, Aunt Phyllis, and their children and spouses.  So good!
Here's David with the Sheckell cousins, Yvonne and Jeremy.  Yvonne and her husband, Michael are expecting their first baby, a girl, any day now! We loved visiting with Michael and Yvonne and Jeremy and his wife, Stacy, while we were in Michigan.  It's always a treat to see family on a road trip!  Thank you, Sheckells for being such sweet hosts to our family! We loved our time with you!
